SAFE RETURN

HEALTH AND SAFETY

We are excited to welcome you back to our artistic home in downtown Houston.

As guidelines are evolving on a frequent basis, so may these policies, so we ask you to please check back prior to attending to confirm current protocols.

VACCINATION AND MASK POLICY

Our audience policy no longer requires patrons to be masked. We recommend all audiences to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and the flu.

Rec Room Arts staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination policy. Performers will be unmasked during performances.

TICKET POLICY

If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 within 14 days of your visit, or have been instructed to self-isolate within the last ten days, we ask that you stay home and contact us at info@recroomhtx.com to discuss ticket exchange options. You may easily exchange tickets here.

Should COVID be detected in staff, cast, crew, or creative teams, Rec Room may be forced to close a production early, cancel performances, and re-open when it’s safe to do so. We ask that in order for live theatre to return and thrive, everyone entering the Rec Room follow the above guidelines.

Seating for all performances at Rec Room will be full capacity. Meaning that seats have no physical distancing, and people will be sitting directly next to other people. In addition, Rec Room now implements reserved seating.

BAR

The Green Room Bar will return to serving wine, beer, and other concessions nightly from 6PM through last call on performance nights. Those interested in drinks or snacks are encouraged to visit the bar and may consume food and beverages in the bar and on the outside patio. Bottled water may be consumed in the theatre during performances. Face masks bust be re-applied after drinking. Unfortunately, no other beverages will be permitted inside the theater until further notice.

CLEANING PROTOCOL

At least once daily, high-touch areas will be thoroughly sanitized. This will include:

  • Cleaning of all frequently touched surfaces and sanitizing of all bathrooms.

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available.

  • Additional restrooms will be available for public use in adjacent hall.

All theater ventilation systems have been reviewed, and filtration has been upgraded. The systems continue to be regularly cleaned and maintained.
